Green Fingers started in 2019, when the founder, Charles Lai discovered aquaponics, a method to grow clean, nutritious and affordable vegetables.

Determined to provide his children clean and healthy food, the family started consuming organic fruits and vegetables bought from the supermarket and found it very difficult to sustain as it is expensive, and the supply is scarce.

This spurred a search for sustainable supply of vegetables using farming methods that require less chemical fertilisers and pesticides while being cost effective.

By farming vegetables using the aquaponic system, he is proud to be able to consistently provide clean and healthy vegetables for his family, and contribute to the nation’s supply of clean, safe and affordable produce.

Now, Green Earth boasts the production of a variety of vegetables, sustainably grown from seed to harvest, in optimal environment in and around their greenhouses.

  • What is Aquaponics?
Aquaponics is a closed loop symbiotic system between plants and fishes. Plants and fishes grow together symbiotically, with the help of beneficial bacteria; where fish waste is converted into nitrates, which the plants use as fertilizer. In consuming these nutrients, plants help to purify the water for the fish. Aquaponics is a balance and self-contained ecosystem which promotes sustainable farming.
